Fast, stable, faster start up and shutdown, great at multitasking, Aero peak and snap are nice features, and oh yeah, IT IS THE BEST OPERATING SYSTEM EVER Cons. Not as compatible with as many programs as xp. Somewhat expensive and battery life on laptops hasnt improved much. Summary. You would be insane to stick with xp and vista. It is no doubt one of the best operating systems ever. Congratulations to you Microsoft Reply to this review. Was this review helpful 1. Nicely redesigned UIFaster. More transparency. Faster boot time and shut down. Libraries added. Cons. Pricey for only minor UI improvements. Beginning to copy off of the Mac. Summary. While Windows 7 offers unique functionality over past Windows versions, it is not worth 1. Some programs loose compatibility while others maintain better speed. It is becoming more and more like the Mac. Reply to this review. Was this review helpful 1. Pros. The OS runs remarkably well on newer laptops Mine having 3. GB RAM, programs run rather well on it. Rather user friendly. Good for the basic home uses and mostly for College work. Cons. Some older programs take a little tweaking to get it to work. Somewhat expensive. Summary. This operating system was a real comeback for Windows after the Vista disaster. This one doesnt take up much processing compared to its predecessor. Most older programs will work on it, though some will require tweaking. On the upside, those that do need tweaking VIA Compatibility mode isnt as difficult to tweak as an option was added to test for the best compatibility setting for optimal performance. Newer programs dont require much of any tweaking. Rather useful for those like myself who are going to college for a computer based degree and will be dealing with programs old and new while going through the courses. Though on the topic of college, the price is a bit high. Reply to this review. Was this review helpful 1. Where can I download Windows 7 ISO I have a Product Key. Windows 7 Ultimate x. If you lost your retail installation disc or recovery media either it was damaged or faulty you could download a copy of the edition. Digital River. Most recently, Microsoft ended availability of reinstall media which you could download as a. ISO file from Digital River, which is a digital replica of a optical disc. This was especially handy for persons who could not easily obtain recovery media from the manufacturer, did not want to pay the cost required to obtain it or preferred a clean configuration without the manufacturers bundled software or even a non functional. It was easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download any appropriate drivers from the manufacturers website.
